ON WEDNESDAYS WE WEAR PINK

I've never been a fan of Mean Girls to be fair, but let's be pretentious and say that yeah, on Wednesdays we do wear pink (even though it's Thursday.) It's not often that you can successfully mix feeling "glamorous" yet comfortable at the same. Two words, I never thought I'd see in the same sentence and yet here we are, a see-through metallic blouse, and what literally feels like PJ pants. I wore this outfit way back on my birthday, which was perfect for lounging around a restaurant booth stuffing my face with Mediterranean food for three hours. Unfortunately, this blouse is now unavailable in pink (it was a sale find), but they do still stock mint and silver alternatives.

TOP BOOTS ON THE HIGH STREET

This post was originally my 'Top 5', but I just couldn't narrow it down, and I'm sure you can see why. I'm a sucker for boots in all shapes and sizes, and no Autumn is complete without a new pair..or five. All boots are linked.

THE CLASH

When your knees look like a head from a 3D baby scan..uncanny.
So yeah this post has nothing to do with The Clash, as in the actual band, sorry. But if like most of the world you've been watching Stranger Things, you may currently have 'Should I Stay Or Should I Go' playing on loop inside your head. What I'm really referring to is the fact that I decided to pair a pink leopard print PJ blouse with a mustard pleather skirt - a combo that I never thought I'd wear, or see and yet here we are. Surprisingly, I think they go together like a house on fire. I guess that could also be taken the wrong way as a house on fire is never a good thing. Anyway, like it or lump it, I think this awful clash actually looks pretty great, and it's an outfit I'll certainly be repeating in the foreseeable future.
You have have noticed the gold boots..These are still available here at Topshop. Unfortunately they seem to be the most un-photogenic pair of shoes I've ever owned, but IRL they look amazing, and they're super comfy.

Are you guilty of any questionable outfit clashes?

BEST OF PRIMARK AW16

This week, the beginning of Autumn technically commenced - although not really in my books, it's still hot, I'm still wearing sandals, and I'm yet to put my sausage toes away anytime soon. Regardless, the cold British weather will soon be in the post, so I think it's time we take a look at what Primark has got to offer this Autumn/Winter, and let me tell you..they are yet to disappoint. Expect embroidery galore, puffer jackets, and an influx of fabulous textures and sequins.

If you've been into Primark recently you may have also noticed the launch of their new Ps Pro collection emulating cheaper alternatives of the Beauty Blenders and Artis makeup brushes. You can now find products to suit your every need including contour kits, eyeshadow palettes..the whole shebang. It was a little hard to photograph the makeup at the press day, as it was pretty packed, and I felt like an annoying tourist, but have a look next time you pop into your local branch. To this day I still swear by their Velvet Matte Lip Crayon in the shade 'Natural'. It's an exact dupe for MACs ever popular 'Honey Love', and since discovering this pencil, I needn't bother replacing it.
What are your favourite pieces? As per usual, I'm not so patiently waiting on the faux furs.

Lovely to see Dauby again of Dymps and Dimes.  She also shot this outfit for me which you can find here

HOW TO - DIY PATCH BAG

If like myself, you spend far too much time either online, or shopping on the high street, you may have noticed that the fashion world has gone patch mad. From jeans, to shirts, to handbags, patches are everywhere, and it's contagious.

When it comes to material things, my "first world problem" in life is simply this : it's too expensive..or it doesn't exist. I found two patch bags that I loved..One too expensive..one too small. So, instead I've decided to recreate my own, using this £12 Primark bag. Yay.

You will need * and here's where I state the obvious*
- As many patches of your choice. Go for it.
- Any bag you wish. Bin bags and potato sacks are discouraged.
- Superglue
- Blue-tack

Play around, have fun, Google inspiration. (Yes, that's right, Google's a verb now.) This is where the blue tack comes in handy. Use it to attach the patches temporarily, prance around in front of the mirror swing your handbag around, bust loose, go wild. Rinse and repeat until you've found your perfect arrangement, then reach for the superglue and seal the deal.

Feel free to use any patches you want, from any store. One thing I will say though is be mindful. Patches are on trend right now, and high street retailers are bound to charge silly prices because of this. Kill two birds with one stone and buy from eBay instead. That way you'll save a ton of money, and support an independent store. Below I've listed links to all eBay stores that I purchased from, and most patches cost no more than £2.

This would also be a brilliant way to personalise a suitcase, so go get creative!

THE TOPSHOP "AWKWARD" TROUSER

There is nothing I find more awkward than having my photo taken in public. In fact, scrap that. There is nothing I find more awkward than having my photo taken in general. So what could be more conspicuous than parading around Soho, leaning against brick walls and pretending to be candid. Saying that though, it was lovely to spend time with Dauby, and also actually have someone offer to help me with a few outfit shots. I usually hate to be a burden and ask people, so when she offered, I couldn't say no.

These photos were taken down Greek St, Soho after we had hung out together at the Primark AW16 Press event. We excitedly spoke more about Bates Motel, and Pretty Little Liars (I am SO excited about season 7 may I add) than we did blogging. Got to love American TV.

These trousers are the "awkward" style by Topshop, and while the design may be awkward, they are probably the comfiest thing I've ever worn. Apart from tracksuit bottoms as a kid. Cringe.
